The ceremony at the Ju-An tea house lasts about 45 minutes. First you will receive a short introduction to the tea ceremony and an explanation of the tea utensils; then guests observe the tea being prepared by a master of the Urasenke school, one of Japan's largest tea schools. The ceremony is conducted in English. There are three options: a group tea ceremony costs 2700 yen (sweets and two kinds of green tea included); a private tea ceremony costs 5400 yen; a short 20-minute ceremony costs 1000 yen.
