Railway Lines
Rokuchō Station is operated by the Metropolitan Intercity Railway Company and serves the Tsukuba Express line. It features two platforms arranged in an island configuration. The station is situated between Aoi (TX06) towards Akihabara and Yashio (TX08) towards Tsukuba. Depending on the service, trains from Rokuchō can take you to Kita-Senju (TX05) or directly to Akihabara and Tsukuba.
Station History
Opened on August 24, 2005, Rokuchō Station initially served only local trains. However, due to significant development in the surrounding area and a subsequent increase in passenger numbers, its service expanded. A commuter rapid service was introduced in 2012, and with the 2020 timetable revision, the northbound commuter rapid was replaced by a section rapid service, making Rokuchō a stop for all northbound trains during the morning rush hour.
Travel Tips
When traveling from Rokuchō Station, be aware of the different train services available on the Tsukuba Express line. While local trains stop at every station, commuter rapid and section rapid services offer faster travel to key destinations. During morning rush hour, all northbound trains stop at Rokuchō, providing excellent connectivity for commuters.
