Station History
Minami-Sakurai Station has a long history, having first opened its doors on December 9, 1930. Initially, it was known as Naganuma Temporary Stop until 1932, before adopting its current name. Over the decades, it has grown to serve a significant number of daily commuters, with an average of 14,515 daily passengers recorded in FY2019.
