Location & Access
Suitengūmae Station (水天宮前駅) is situated in Chūō, Tokyo, and is a key transportation hub for both local residents and travelers. The station is directly connected by moving walkways to the Tokyo City Air Terminal (T-CAT), making it an excellent gateway for those arriving or departing via bus services to and from Narita and Haneda airports. While Ningyocho Station is located approximately 500 meters to the northwest, it's important to note that there is no direct transfer corridor between the two stations.
Railway Lines
The station is exclusively served by the Tokyo Metro Hanzomon Line, operated by Tokyo Metro. It is identified by the station code Z-10. From Suitengūmae, passengers can travel towards Shibuya (Z-09 Mitsukoshimae) or Oshiage (Z-11 Kiyosumi-shirakawa), connecting to various other Tokyo Metro and JR lines across the city.
Station History
Suitengūmae Station officially opened its doors on November 28, 1990, making it 35 years old as of 2025. Its strategic location and connection to the Tokyo City Air Terminal have made it an important part of Tokyo's extensive subway network since its inception.
Travel Tips
If you're heading to or from the airports via the Tokyo City Air Terminal, Suitengūmae Station offers a seamless connection. Look for the signs directing you to the moving walkways. Although Ningyocho Station is close, plan for a surface walk if you intend to transfer between the two, as there's no underground link. The station features a single island platform and two tracks, ensuring efficient service on the Hanzomon Line.
