Railway Lines

This commuter railway line, operated by Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit, links Nagoya Station with Kinjō-futō Station. Station History
The Aonami Line, on which Kōhoku Station is located, has an interesting history. It was originally a freight branch line of the Tokaido Main Line, opened on June 1, 1950, as the Nishi-Nagoyakō Line. In October 2004, it was converted for passenger usage and rebranded as the Aonami Line. The section between Nagoya and Arako Station, which includes Kōhoku, is still used for both passenger and freight traffic by the Japan Freight Railway Company. Since 2017, the line has become the primary access route for the popular Legoland Japan Resort.
