Location & Access
Kinjō-futō Station is situated in Kinjō-futō 3-chome, Minato Ward, Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture. As the terminal station of the Aonami Line, it offers convenient access to several major tourist destinations. Notably, it is the primary rapid transit gateway to Legoland Japan Resort and the SCMaglev and Railway Park, both located in close proximity to the station.
Railway Lines
The station is exclusively served by the Aonami Line, officially known as the Nishi-Nagoyakō Line (West Nagoya Port Line). This commuter rail line, operated by Nagoya Rinkai Rapid Transit, connects Kinjō-futō Station with Nagoya Station. The Aonami Line was originally a freight branch of the Tokaido Main Line, converted for passenger use in October 2004, and still shares a section of its tracks with freight traffic between Nagoya and Arako Station.
Travel Tips
When visiting Legoland Japan Resort or the SCMaglev and Railway Park, Kinjō-futō Station is your most direct and efficient public transport option. The Aonami Line provides a comfortable and scenic journey from Nagoya Station. Be aware that while the line is primarily for passengers, a portion still handles freight, reflecting its historical roots.
