Keisei Yawata Station (KS16) is situated in Ichikawa, Chiba Prefecture, and is a vital transportation point for locals and visitors alike. It boasts excellent connectivity, being located near Motoyawata Station, which serves the Toei Shinjuku Line. A convenient underground passage, accessible from the south exit (A6), directly links Keisei Yawata with the Toei Subway. While direct connection tickets are available for the Toei Subway, JR East connections require using the underground passage or surface roads.

Station History
Keisei Yawata Station first opened its doors on November 3, 1915, initially known as Shin-Yawata. It retained this name until 1942 when it was renamed to its current designation. With a daily ridership of 36,364 in FY2019, it remains a bustling station, reflecting its importance in the regional transport network.

When traveling through Keisei Yawata, take advantage of the direct underground connection to Motoyawata Station for seamless transfers to the Toei Shinjuku Line. If you plan to use JR East services from Motoyawata, be aware that separate tickets or IC card usage will be required as direct connection tickets are not offered for JR lines. The station's central location in Ichikawa makes it a good starting point for exploring the city.
