Izu-Taga Station (伊豆多賀駅) is nestled in the scenic southern part of Atami, a popular hot spring resort city in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The station is a key stop on the Itō Line, connecting passengers to the bustling hub of Atami (6.0 kilometers away) and further south towards Itō. Its station number is JT 23. From Izu-Taga, the preceding station is Kinomiya (JT 22) towards Atami, and the following station is Ajiro (JT 24) towards Itō.
Station History
Izu-Taga Station first opened its doors to passengers on March 30, 1935, making it a long-standing part of the region's transportation network. While its daily passenger count was 615 in FY2013, it continues to serve both local residents and tourists exploring the Izu Peninsula.
