Location & Access
Family-Kōemmae Station is conveniently located in Yamatokōriyama, Nara Prefecture, making it an accessible point for exploring the local area. Operated by Kintetsu Railway, it serves as a vital link on the B Kashihara Line. The station is unstaffed but features a single slope for accessibility. While there's no dedicated parking, visitors can easily reach the station via public transport.
Railway Lines
The station is exclusively served by the Kintetsu Kashihara Line (B33). It is situated 10.9 km (6.8 miles) from Yamato-Saidaiji. From Family-Kōemmae, local trains travel towards Kyoto, Shin-Tanabe, or Yamato-Saidaiji via Hirahata, and towards Kashiharajingū-mae via Yūzaki. The station features two side platforms and two tracks, ensuring smooth operation for commuters.
Station History
Opened on July 1, 1979, Family-Kōemmae Station initially operated as a seasonal stop, primarily serving during the pool season, with some local trains bypassing it. However, it now serves as a full-time station, with all local trains stopping throughout the day. This change reflects its growing importance to the local community, with an average of 333 daily passengers recorded in FY2019.
