Tokyo DisneySea Station (東京ディズニーシー・ステーション駅) is a key stop on the Disney Resort Line, an automated straddle-beam monorail system. Located within the sprawling Tokyo Disney Resort in Urayasu, Chiba, this station provides direct access to the magical world of Tokyo DisneySea, one of Japan's most popular theme parks. Railway Lines
The station is exclusively served by the Disney Resort Line, an Alweg-type monorail operated by Maihama Resort Line Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of the Oriental Land Company (OLC). This 5 km (3.1 mi) elevated line features four stations in total, linking Maihama Station (a major JR East hub) to Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, and the Bayside area where many official hotels are located. The monorail operates with Type C (100 series) rolling stock, offering a comfortable and scenic ride at a top speed of 50 km/h (31 mph).
Station History
Passenger service at Tokyo DisneySea Station, along with the entire Disney Resort Line, commenced on July 27, 2001. This opening strategically preceded the grand opening of Tokyo DisneySea itself, ensuring that visitors had convenient transportation to the new park from day one.
