The history of Tenjimbashisuji Rokuchōme Station dates back to 1925 when the original Tenjinbashi Station, the terminal of the Hankyu Senri Line, opened. In 1969, with the inauguration of the Sakaisuji Line subway, the station was redeveloped into its current underground configuration. The former station building, known as Ten-Roku Hankyu Building, and its platforms remained until 2009 before being demolished to make way for modern high-rise condominiums, marking a significant evolution in the area's landscape.
