Station History

Shin-Takashima Station officially opened its doors to the public on February 1, 2004. Its construction involved a collaborative effort, with structural design handled by TIS & PARTNARS and Yokoyama Architectural Structural Design Office, equipment design by Chiku Equipment Planning Research Institute, and construction undertaken by a joint venture of Shimizu Corporation, Okumura Corporation, and Takenaka Doboku JV. In fiscal year 2011, the station recorded an average daily ridership of 5,144 passengers, demonstrating its steady usage.
