Although its name translates to "Lower Itabashi Station," it's actually situated within Toshima Ward, not Itabashi Ward. Station History

Shimo-Itabashi Station first opened its doors on May 1, 1914, making it over a century old. It underwent a significant rebuilding in 1935, adapting to the growing needs of the Tokyo metropolitan area. With a daily ridership of 15,728 in fiscal year 2015, it continues to be an important local station.
