Station History
The station, originally known as Sanuki, first opened on August 14, 1900. It underwent a significant rebuild in 1985. The JR station was known as Sanuki until 2020, when it was renamed Ryūgasakishi Station, while the Kantō Railway portion retained the name Sanuki Station.
