Okadera Station (おかでら駅) is situated in Kashihara, Nara Prefecture, Japan. It serves as a stop on the Kintetsu Yoshino Line (F43) and is operated by Kintetsu Railway. While the station bears the name of the historic Oka-dera Buddhist temple, it's important for visitors to note that the temple itself is approximately 3.5 kilometers away (a 40-minute walk). The temple recommends using Kashiharajingū-mae Station for bus connections to the temple, as there is no direct public transit from Okadera Station.
Railway Lines
The station features two side platforms serving two tracks on the Kintetsu Yoshino Line. Services include Local, Semi-express, and Express trains. From Okadera, passengers can travel towards Ōsaka-Abenobashi or Furuichi (via Kashiharajingū-mae) and towards Yoshino, Muda, Yoshinoguchi, or Tsubosakayama (via Asuka).

If your primary destination is Oka-dera temple, it is highly recommended to alight at Kashiharajingū-mae Station and take a bus from there. Okadera Station is more suitable for those exploring the immediate vicinity of Kashihara or connecting to other parts of the Kintetsu network. The station sees an average of around 1,435 daily passengers (as of 2015), indicating its role as a local transport hub.
