Station History
Ōarai Station officially opened its doors to passengers on March 14, 1985. Since its inauguration, it has played a crucial role in connecting the communities along the Ōarai-Kashima Line. In fiscal year 2015, the station recorded an average daily ridership of 2166 passengers, demonstrating its continued importance to local commuters and visitors alike.
