The station is operated by the Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) and serves the Gotemba Line. It is located 38.2 km from Kōzu Station, the starting point of the line. The preceding station is Gotemba (CB10) towards Kōzu, and the following station is Fujioka (CB12) towards Numazu. The station features one side platform and a single track, built at grade.
Station History
Minami-Gotemba Station officially opened its doors on July 20, 1962, making it over 60 years old. Despite its age, it remains an integral part of the local railway network. In fiscal year 2017, the station served an average of 311 daily passengers.
