Railway Lines
The station is a joint operation between East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and the private railway operator Keisei Electric Railway. JR East operates services on the Sōbu Main Line, while Keisei Electric Railway manages the Keisei Chiba Line. The Keisei section is officially known as Keisei Makuharihongō Station. It is located 2.1 km from Keisei Tsudanuma and features one island platform with two tracks (station code KS52).
Station History
Makuharihongō Station officially opened its doors to the public on August 7, 1991. Since then, it has grown to be an important part of the local railway network, handling an average of 8,225 daily passengers in fiscal year 2018.
