Station History

Opened on October 10, 1933, Keisei Ueno Station was originally known as Ueno Kōen until 1953. The station features an underground structure with 4 platforms and 4 tracks. In fiscal year 2015, it served an average of 44,814 daily passengers. A former local service to Hakubutsukan-Dōbutsuen was closed in 1997.
