Railway Lines
Operated by the private railway company Keisei Electric Railway, Keisei Tsudanuma Station is a significant junction where three lines converge: the Keisei Main Line, the Keisei Chiba Line (which originates here), and the Keisei Matsudo Line (which terminates here). This makes it a crucial transfer point for various destinations, including direct services to Keisei Ueno and Narita Airport Terminal 1 via the Main Line, and connections to Chiba-Chūō and Matsudo.
Station History
The station first opened its doors on July 17, 1921, under the name Tsudanuma. It was later renamed Keisei Tsudanuma. Until March 31, 2025, it operated as a joint station between Keisei Electric Railway and Shin-Keisei Electric Railway. However, following the merger of the two companies, it became a sole Keisei Electric Railway station from April 1, 2025. With 60,394 daily passengers in FY2019, it remains a busy and essential part of the local railway network.
