Railway Lines
This station is exclusively served by the Kintetsu Ikoma Cable Line, also known as the Ikoma Cable. Kasumigaoka is one of five stations on this 2 km long line, which opened on August 29, 1918.
Travel Tips
Kasumigaoka Station is famously considered a 'secluded station' (秘境駅) due to its extremely low passenger traffic. Its existence is primarily a functional necessity of the cable car system: while one car stops at Kasumigaoka, the other simultaneously stops at Umeyashiki Station. Direct services, which are typically operated during peak times like Golden Week, weekends, holidays, or for night operations at Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park, usually pass through this station without stopping. Therefore, if you plan to visit, be aware that stops are infrequent and it's more of a curiosity than a primary transit point.
