The preceding station is Shinge and the following station is Izumi-Tottori for most services, with Kii being the preceding station for some Hineno services.

Station History

Opened on June 16, 1930, Izumi-Sunagawa Station has a rich history of name changes, originally known as Shindachi until 1932, then Hanwa-Sunagawa until 1941, and Sunagawaen until 1944. It was historically a managed station for several others between Nagataki and Rokujizo. However, due to an organizational restructuring on June 1, 2025, Izumi-Sunagawa Station will become a managed station under the Izumi-Fuchu control station, with Kii and Rokujizo stations falling under the Wakayama control station.
