Hotarugaike Station first opened its doors on April 25, 1910, establishing a long history of serving the community. Over the decades, it has evolved into a modern, staffed station with multiple platforms (2 side and 1 island platform) and two tracks, capable of handling a significant volume of daily passengers. In FY2019, it recorded 44,426 daily passengers for Hankyu and 29,900 for Osaka Monorail.
