Fukiage Station is conveniently situated in Fukiagehonchō, Kōnosu City, Saitama Prefecture. As a key transportation hub in the area, it provides essential access for both local residents and visitors. The station is operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East) and also handles freight services through JR Freight on the Takasaki Line.
Railway Lines
The station is a vital stop on the Takasaki Line, offering direct connections to Ueno Station. Additionally, Fukiage Station is served by the Shōnan–Shinjuku Line, which provides through services via Shinjuku Station to the Tōkaidō Line. The Ueno–Tokyo Line also stops here, offering direct through services via Ueno and Tokyo Stations to the Tōkaidō Line, enhancing connectivity to a wider network. The station features one island platform and one side platform, serving three tracks.
Station History
Fukiage Station has a long and rich history, having first opened its doors on March 1, 1885. This makes it one of the older stations on the Takasaki Line, reflecting the early development of Japan's railway network. With a daily ridership of 8,899 passengers in fiscal year 2019, it continues to be an important station for the region.
