Location & Access
Chōshiguchi Station was situated in Nanae, a town within the Kameda District of Hokkaido, Japan. Specifically, it was located in Higashi-Ōnuma, offering a glimpse into the scenic beauty of the region. While the station itself is now closed, the area remains accessible for those wishing to explore the natural landscapes of Hokkaido.
Railway Lines
The station served the Hakodate Main Line, specifically its Sawara Branch Line, operated by JR Hokkaido. Although it functioned as a signal box (銚子口信号場, Chōshiguchi Shingōjō) towards the end of its operational life, it previously handled passenger services. Its station number was N69.
Station History
Chōshiguchi Station ceased operations on March 12, 2022. Historically, there was also a Shin-Chōshiguchi Station of the Ōnuma Electric Railway located in front of the station, though this was a separate entity from an earlier Chōshiguchi Station on the Ōnuma Electric Railway that was temporarily suspended before World War II.
