Ashikagashi Station is centrally located in Ashikaga, Tochigi Prefecture, making it a convenient gateway to the city's attractions. The station is operated by Tōbu Railway and serves the Tōbu Isesaki Line. With the station code TI-15, it connects passengers to various destinations. From Ashikagashi, travelers can head towards Asakusa (via Tatebayashi TI 10) or towards Akagi/Isesaki (via Ryomo Ōta TI 18). The preceding station is Tōbu-Izumi (TI 14) towards Tōbu-Dōbutsu-Kōen, and the following station is Yashū-Yamabe (TI 16) towards Isesaki.

Ashikagashi Station has a rich history, having first opened its doors on August 27, 1907. Initially known as Ashikagamachi, it was renamed Ashikagashi in 1924, reflecting the city's evolving status. Over a century of operation, it has grown to become a significant transport hub, serving thousands of daily commuters and visitors, with an average daily ridership of 6010 in FY2020.
