Гинкаку-дзи

Ginkaku-ji (the Silver Pavilion) forms a unified complex with its surrounding garden and an artificial pond. Converted into a temple from a villa in 1940, it became a cultural centre: tea ceremonies, ikebana workshops and Nō theatre performances are held here. Entrance: 500 yen.
