Station History
Yūhigaura-Kitsu-onsen Station first opened its doors on May 25, 1931. It was previously known as Kitsuonsen Station until 2015. In 2014, a public competition held by the Kyōtango City "Station Nickname Selection Committee" resulted in the affectionate nickname "Tachibana no Sato Yūhigaura Station" (橘の里 夕日ヶ浦駅).
