Station History

Yufuin Station first opened its doors on July 29, 1925. Interestingly, it was known by the name Kita-Yufuin until 1950, when it adopted its current designation. With an average daily ridership of 1167 in FY2016, it ranked 144th among JR Kyushu stations, highlighting its importance to the region.
