Location & Access

Yue Station is situated in Isahaya, Nagasaki Prefecture, Japan, specifically in Takaki-cho Sanbuichi. It served as the representative station for the former town of Takaki. While it's a key point for local travel, visitors should note that the station is unstaffed, meaning there are no personnel on-site to assist with tickets or inquiries. Platforms are connected by a footbridge, and the station is not listed as accessible.

Railway Lines

The station is part of the JR Kyushu Nagasaki Main Line. It's located 87.6 km from Tosu. A notable characteristic of Yue Station is its limited service, particularly towards Tosu, with only nine trains operating in that direction daily (two of which only go as far as Konagai Station, meaning only seven cross the prefectural border into Saga Prefecture). This results in significant gaps in service, sometimes exceeding five hours without a train. Some local trains from Nagasaki terminate and turn back at Yue Station.

Station History

Yue Station officially opened its doors to passengers on March 24, 1934. Over the decades, it has served the local community, connecting residents to larger cities and other parts of Nagasaki Prefecture. Despite its unstaffed status and limited train schedule, it remains an integral part of the local railway network.

Travel Tips

Due to the infrequent train service, especially towards Tosu, it is highly recommended to check the train schedule in advance when planning a trip to or from Yue Station. Travelers should be prepared for potential long waits between trains. As the station is unstaffed, it's advisable to purchase tickets beforehand or be ready to use IC cards if applicable. The station features one side platform and one island platform, with a total of three tracks and one siding.
