Operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West), it serves as a vital transportation hub not only for Yuasa Town but also for the nearby Hirokawa Town. Its strategic location makes it easily accessible for residents and visitors exploring this scenic part of Wakayama.

The station is primarily served by the Kisei Main Line, also known as the Kinokuni Line. It is located 343.9 km from Kameyama and 163.7 km from Shingu. Yuasa Station is a significant stop, with some Limited Express 'Kuroshio' trains (mainly operating between Shin-Osaka and Shirahama) making a stop here. Station History
Yuasa Station officially opened on August 14, 1927. The line was electrified in 1978, modernizing its operations. Historically, there was also a Yuasa Station on the Arida Railway, though its location differed from the current JR West station. Today, Yuasa Station is an unstaffed station, reflecting a common trend in regional Japanese railway operations.
