This station holds a unique distinction as the only station in a county (gun) area in Japan to be served by three different railway operators. It functions as a joint-use passenger railway station, with its premises managed by Chichibu Railway, despite being operated by East Japan Railway Company (JR East), Tōbu Railway, and Chichibu Railway.
