Additionally, the Rapid Niseko Liner operates through Yoichi, connecting it to Sapporo via Ranshima and Kutchan via Niki. Historically, Yoichi was a stop for express trains like 'Hokkai,' 'Niseko,' and 'Raiden.'

Station History

Yoichi Station officially opened its doors on December 10, 1902. It has historically been a busy station, especially within the 'Yama-sen' section of the Hakodate Main Line, second only to Otaru Station in terms of passenger numbers. Its importance is further highlighted by the fact that some trains from Otaru Station terminate and turn back at Yoichi.
