Railway Lines
Wakinoda Station exclusively served the Shinetsu Main Line, a significant railway artery connecting Takasaki in Gunma Prefecture with Niigata City in Niigata Prefecture. Station History

The station saw an average daily ridership of 139 passengers in fiscal year 2013, reflecting its role as a local stop. In 2014, Wakinoda Station officially closed, making way for the new Jōetsumyōkō Station. This modern station was developed to accommodate the Hokuriku Shinkansen, significantly enhancing high-speed rail access to the region and consolidating railway services.
