Usa Station has a long history, having first opened its doors on December 21, 1909. Over the years, it has continued to serve the community, evolving with the changing needs of railway travel. In fiscal year 2016, the station recorded an average of 423 daily passengers, ranking 263rd among JR Kyushu stations.
