Umebayashi Station is situated in Jōnan-ku, Fukuoka, specifically at Umebayashi 4-chome. This station serves as a vital transportation hub for residents and visitors in the southern part of Fukuoka City. Its station symbol, a charming pink plum blossom, reflects the local area's name, which translates to 'plum grove'.
The station is also notable for being the southernmost subway station in all of Japan, a unique geographical distinction. While managed by Hashimoto Station, its daily operations are entrusted to the Fukuoka branch of Nippon Express, ensuring smooth service for its passengers.

Station History
Umebayashi Station officially opened its doors on February 3, 2005. The station's unique plum blossom symbol was completed by graphic designer Masayuki Nishijima, based on an original draft. His father, Isao Nishijima, who designed the symbols for the Airport and Hakozaki Lines, passed away in 2001, leaving his son to finalize this beautiful representation of the station's namesake.
