Tsugaru-Goshogawara Station first opened its doors on July 15, 1930. Initially known simply as Goshogawara, it was officially renamed Tsugaru-Goshogawara in 1956 to distinguish it, likely due to the joint operation. Over the years, the station has seen varying passenger numbers, with 330 daily passengers recorded in FY2015 and an increase to 675 daily passengers in FY2021, highlighting its continued importance to the region.
