Station History
Togura Station first opened its doors on February 11, 1912, and has since played a vital role in local transportation. Historically, one-man operation trains from Karuizawa Station ended here, with a conductor joining for the section to Nagano Station. However, since the timetable revision on March 16, 2013, some trains between Togura and Nagano also operate with one-man crews. In FY2011, the station served an average of 2,650 daily passengers, highlighting its importance to the community.
