Station History
Tampi Station first opened its doors to passengers on December 1, 1930. For over nine decades, it has been an integral part of the local community, facilitating travel and connecting Yazu with other parts of Tottori Prefecture. Interestingly, Tampi Station holds a unique linguistic distinction: it is the only station in Japan whose kana reading (たんぴ) ends with 'pi'.
