Railway Lines
The station is exclusively served by the Jōshin Line, operated by the private railway company Jōshin Dentetsu. It is situated 5.0 km from the line's starting point at Takasaki Station. The preceding station is Negoya, and the following station is Yamana, heading towards Shimonita.
Station History
Takasaki-Shōka-Daigakumae Station was opened on March 17, 2002. Its establishment was prompted by the significant increase in student numbers at Takasaki University of Commerce after the former Takasaki Junior College of Commerce transitioned into a four-year university in April 2001. This growth created a strong demand for a new station to better serve the academic community.
Travel Tips
As an unstaffed station, travelers should be aware of ticket purchasing procedures, which may involve using a fare box or purchasing tickets on board the train, depending on the service. The station provides a single side platform for passenger convenience. For up-to-date information, checking the official Jōshin Dentetsu website is recommended.
