Station History

Soneda Station has a long history, having been opened on April 13, 1924. Interestingly, it has operated under different names throughout its existence. Initially known simply as Soneda from 1924 to 1943, it was then renamed Dentetsu Fukushima from 1943 to 1962 before reverting to its original name, Soneda.
