Station History

Shinzaike Station first opened its doors in 1905, initially known as Tōmyō until 1930. A significant change occurred in 1967 when the station was elevated. Prior to this, it was located further south, near the current National Route 43. The former site has since been redeveloped into commercial facilities and parking areas.
