Location & Access
Shin-Yakumo Station (新八雲駅) is a planned railway station situated in the town of Yakumo, within the Futami District of Hokkaido, Japan. Specifically, it will be located in Kasuga, Yakumo. This new Shinkansen station will be positioned approximately 3 kilometers west of the existing Yakumo Station, offering a new gateway to the region for high-speed rail travelers.
Railway Lines
Upon its scheduled opening in 2031, Shin-Yakumo Station will serve the Hokkaido Shinkansen high-speed line. It will be an intermediate stop between the stations of Shin-Hakodate-Hokuto and Oshamambe, connecting the southern part of Hokkaido with the rest of Japan's Shinkansen network. The station will be operated by Hokkaido Railway Company (JR Hokkaido), ensuring seamless integration into the regional rail system.

As Shin-Yakumo Station is still under construction and slated for a 2031 opening, travelers should plan accordingly.
