Location & Access
Shikaga Station was situated in Gōtsu, a city nestled within Shimane Prefecture, Japan. While the station is no longer operational, its former location offered a glimpse into the rural charm of the region. Gōtsu itself is known for its scenic landscapes and connection to the Japan Sea coast.
Railway Lines
The station served the Sankō Line, operated by West Japan Railway Company (JR West). The Sankō Line was a picturesque route that traversed the Chūgoku region, connecting Miyoshi Station in Hiroshima Prefecture with Gōtsu Station in Shimane Prefecture. Unfortunately, the entire Sankō Line, including Shikaga Station, ceased operations in 2018 due to declining ridership.
