Station History
Opened on April 30, 1914, Ōsaka Uehommachi Station has a rich history. It originally operated under the name Uehommachi Station. On March 20, 2009, it was officially renamed Ōsaka Uehommachi Station to reflect its expanded services, particularly with the integration of trains from the Hanshin Namba Line. The station is also affectionately known as Ueroku Station, a nickname derived from its location in Uehommachi Rokuchōme, a name still used for its connecting bus stops.
