Station History
The Okinawa Urban Monorail, which includes Onoyama Park Station, opened on August 10, 2003, marking the return of a rail line to Okinawa since World War II. Planning for the monorail began in 1972, the same year Okinawa was returned to Japan. After extensive discussions and construction, the line finally commenced operations, significantly enhancing public transport options for residents and visitors alike.
