Historically, temporary electric trains for the Nichihashi River 'River Festival' Fireworks Display also used to stop here.
Station History
Oikawa Station first opened its doors to passengers on November 1, 1934, connecting the local community to the broader railway network. Over the decades, its role has evolved, leading to the current limited service. Despite its quiet nature, it remains a historical landmark for the area.
Travel Tips
Due to the extremely limited train schedule, travelers planning to use Oikawa Station must meticulously check train times in advance. It is advisable to consult the official JR East website for the most up-to-date information. As an unstaffed station, there are no ticket sales or station personnel on site, so ensure you have appropriate tickets or IC cards before boarding.
