It serves the Shinano Railway Kita-Shinano Line, with Kurohime being the preceding station towards Nagano, and the Echigo Tokimeki Railway Myōkō Haneuma Line, where Sekiyama is the next station towards Naoetsu. Myōkō-Kōgen Station is the terminus for the Kita-Shinano Line and the starting point for the Myōkō Haneuma Line.

Station History

Opened on May 1, 1888, the station was originally known as Taguchi Station until 1969 when it adopted its current name, Myōkō-Kōgen. With three tracks and a combination of one side and one island platform, it efficiently handles the flow of passengers. In fiscal year 2017, the station recorded an average of 282 daily passengers, highlighting its importance to both local residents and tourists.
