Station History

Mugi Station first opened its doors on July 1, 1942. Notably, until December 31, 2016, it was one of the last stations in Japan where pre-printed Seishun 18 Kippu tickets were sold, a unique piece of railway history. In fiscal year 2019, the station served an average of 276 passengers daily.
