Railway Lines
Operated by the private railway company Meitetsu, the station is a crucial junction for two significant lines: the Nagoya Main Line and the Kakamigahara Line. Station History
Meitetsu Gifu Station first opened its doors on February 11, 1911. Historically, it was known as Shin-Gifu Station until its renaming in 2005. In the past, a dedicated platform for the Minochi Line system was located within the Kakamigahara Line premises. Furthermore, the Shin-Gifu-ekimae Station of the Gifu City Line once existed on National Route 157, which passes in front of the station.
